Eritrean president to visit Cairo soon

Eritrean President Asias Afwerki will visit Cairo between September 27-29, during which he will meet with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal Ganzouri and Foreign Minister Amr Moussa.

The two leaders will discuss the situation in the African Horn and the Red Sea in addition to the developments in Sudan and efforts exerted to solve its problems by the neighboring African and Arab countries. The discussion will also tackle the developments regarding the crisis between Yemen and Eritrea over the Island of Henish and the attempts to solve it by peaceful means.

The two leaders will discuss the situation in the Comoros Islands regarding the separatist movements of the islands of Anjouan and Moheli and the efforts exerted to end this separation by the Arab League and the Organization of African Unity.
