Arab data base to link trade information

Cooperation between the UN Development Program and the Arab trade financing program has produced an Arab trade data base.

This data base will link the main base of the International Trade Center in Geneva with 9 Arab countries such as Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Lebanon, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Board chairman of the Arab trade financing program Dr. Gasem El Mena'i, who is also the head of the program, said the Arab data base will provide Arab investors and businessmen with comprehensive data about the Arab trade and added that this data would incorporate the names of Arab importers and exporters, commodities, the main markets in the Arab world, Al Ahram El Ektesadi weekly said today.
