Israel admits that three soldiers were killed and an officer was injured

Yesterday, the Islamic Resistance and the Amal party attacked Israeli positions in south Lebanon across the occupied zone, to the Iqlim Al Touffah region. Their attack was so intense--28 operations were launched--and unpredictable that Israeli soldiers lost an officer and three soldiers were injured.

As a consequence, Israelis raided south Lebanon and the Bekaa with nail bombs, injuring six Lebanese civilians and a soldier, in addition to damaging many houses.

Moreover, Amal announced that it detected an Israeli patrol in the Tallousseh triangle and that "the necessary measures with the appropriate weapon were taken." The party added that it was sure that the Israelis suffered losses during the fights in Wadi Al Hojeir.

Security sources said the shelling targeted the densely-populated quarters in the towns of al Nabatieh, al Fouqa, Haboush, Kfar Rumman, Arabsalim, Eqmata, Sujud, and Arafi mountain in the Al Touffah district.

Israeli artillery also targeted al Daher and Qilia mountains, Mashgharah hills, Ein alTineh and al Maramel areas in western Bekaa.

Later in the day, Israeli forces from their position in Mhebib hill bombarded the outskirts of Fita al Jabal, Majdal Zoun,, al Mansouri, Bara'sheet, Hadatha, Qibrikha,Tolin,MajdalSulum, al Za'atr mountain and Beit Yahoun.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese national resistance issued a statement on September 18 saying that its men attacked 25 Israeli occupation positions in occupied south Lebanon and western Bekaa. In a detailed statement, the resistance said the Israelis absorbed great losses.

The statement said resistance groups of Hadi Hassan Nasrallah, Ali Mohammed Kawtharani and Haitham Mughanea attacked the occupation position in Beit Yahoun Bara'sheet, Houla,Masharoun, al Qanatara, Sujud, Kelab well, Kassaret al Aroush, al Sweida, alTahra, al Hardoun,Ter Harfa, Ras al Bayad, Balat, Reshaf, Hamid al Dabsheh,Tomat Niha, Kfar Hanouch, Zamaraya, al Ahmadyah, Ali al Taher and al Burj area.

Resistance-men used machine-guns, rockets and mortars in their operations.

In the afternoon, the resistance said a group of resistance-men attacked an anti-tank rocket launching pad in the Israeli occupation position in Hadatha town.

A statement by the resistance said a number of Israeli soldiers were killed or wounded.
