Ban on Israeli chicken in Egypt

Egypt has banned imports of fresh and frozen chicken from Israel out of fear that the poultry may carry the Newcastle virus. The Egyptian office in Brussels was informed by the European Union that Israeli chicken was found with the Newcastle virus, an official said yesterday.
Besides Egypt banned also imported fish from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Madagascar because of a serious bacteria, Al Wafd daily said today.
