Egyptian tourism achieves unprecedented numbers

The Egyptian tourism achieved record numbers according to the official statistics issued by the Central Authority of Mobilization and Statistics which said that the number of tourists in August reached 444,719 with a 15% increase in comparison with the same period last year in which the number was 386,701.
The number of tourists from Arab countries increased by 24.9% during the first 8 months of the current year; they represent one quarter of the total number of tourists. The month of August witnessed the highest number of tourists visiting Egypt in one month. The month of July also saw record numbers as the number of visitors was 425,079.
The number of tourists coming from European countries increased by 25.6%, tourists from Latin and South America increased by10.87%, while tourists coming from the Middle East increased by 4.74% during the same period.
