New North Korean Ambassador to Egypt starts his work

The new North Korean Ambassador to Egypt Beong Yang started his work in his country's embassy in the district of Zamalek, succeeding Yang Song Eel who defected to the US end of August. The new ambassador was the former Secretary of the Korean Red Cross.
The new ambassador declined to comment on the defection of the former ambassador and its effects on Korea's relations with the USA and Egypt. But he declared that he will try to strengthen his country's relations with Egypt, reiterating the strength of these relations.
The new ambassador discussed the defection of the former ambassador with the embassy officials from whom he got acquainted with the personality of the former ambassador and the circumstances that led to his defection. He is expected to meet with the Egyptian Foreign Minister and the Secretary General of the Arab League, Dr. Esmat Abdel Meguid next week.
