Arab League envoy visits Addis Ababa to discuss Comoran crisis

The Arab League Secretary General's envoy, Ambassador Mohammed Al Khazendar (Egyptian) will visit Addis Ababa to hold talks with the Secretary General of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) Salem Ahmed Salem and deliver a letter from Dr. Esmat Abdel Meguid that deals with the coordination between the Arab League and the OAU.
The envoy will then head to the Comoros Islands to deliver a letter from Dr. Abdel Meguid to the Comoros Islands' President Mohammed Taky El Din to discuss peaceful ways of getting the islands of Moheli and Anjouan under the control of the Comoros Republic again in order to maintain the security and stability of the Comoros Islands.
Ambassador Ahmed Bin Helmy, head of the Arab Desk at the Arab League, stated that there is full coordination between the Arab League and France, which intervened earlier to solve similar crises in the Comoros Islands.
