Israeli hell-bent on destroying Lebanon's people, economy and Beirut

American Secretary of State Madeleine Albright had barely left the region with a few positive results from her visit when Israel restarted its raids on south Lebanon. News reports announced that Israeli jets raided on the regions of Habboush, Arab Saline and Wadi Alzahrani.

The Israeli attacks occurred suddenly after the Israeli government showed signs that Israel was ready to leave Lebanese territories. Most surprising is that Israel is now threatening raids on Beirut, especially on its infrastructure so there would be no more water in houses, and a permanent electricity failure. Israeli Interior Minister Avigdor Kahalani said such measures would hinder resistance attacks on Israel.

Elsewhere, people noticed yesterday in the city of Tyre the presence of a suspect box, and when they informed the authorities, specialists found in it a bomb, which they dismantled. Suspicion centered on Israeli involvement in the incident, that fortunately failed.
