Protest against minister for calling female circumcision Pharaonic

Egypt Minister of Health Dr. Ismail Salam enraged Muslim scholars and Sheikhs when he insisted that female circumcision was a Pharaonic habit.
Minister of Awqaf (Islamic endowments) Dr. Hamdi Zakzouk had to end the meeting at a university last Thursday when some scholars protested against Dr. Salam's statement, Rosel Yousef weekly magazine said today.
