The meeting of the central banks governor's council

The meeting of the central banks governor's council will take place in Beirut on September 13.
This 21st meeting of the council is expected to discuss the unified economic report of 1997, as well as the recommendations of the sixth meeting of the banking supervisory committee.
The meeting would also tackle a report of the fifth committee's meeting which was held in Basle, Switzerland, a report of regional groups for banking supervision, as well as the latest developments of the financial and monetary policies in Arab countries during 1996. The conferences would also tackle issues and proposals for the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund due to be held in Hong Kong between September 21-25.
