Occupation troops continue attacks on Lebanon

Israeli occupation forces on September 9-10 renewed shelling of villages and towns in the western sector and al Tuffah district area in south Lebanon.

Security sources said the Israeli heavy artillery stationed in al Zaffata shelled the woods of Sujud, Al Rayhan, the Green valley, al Rafee mountain, al Zahrani river bed, al Tassa spring-bed, Litani river-bed and the outskirts of Lweiza town in al Tuffah district.

Israeli occupation forces in the western district shelled Hadatha, Eita Al Jabal, Haris and al Sawana towns.

The shelling was accompanied by heavy machine gun fire strafing the areas facing the occupation positions in the central sector.

Israeli warplanes launched provocative mock raids over Nabatieh and al Tuffah district and over the western and central sectors. The Israeli occupation forces also attacked areas close to the occupied Bekaa.

Security sources said Israeli artillery positioned in Abou Qamha valley and al Shaafi hill shelled the areas of Maimas crossing, al Daher mountain and the outskirts of al Dalafa.

Earlier in the morning, Israeli warplanes carried out sorties over Sidon, while Israeli warships were sailing near the shore. In retaliation, the Lebanese Hasbeh bridge, sent anti-aircraft rocket fire at the hostile moves.

The village of Tibnine was also the target of Israeli raids.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese national resistance in the afternoon attacked an Israeli military gathering in Zamraya position in south Lebanon with rockets and scored direct and accurate hits.

The Lebanese resistance attacked Lahd militia headquarters in occupied south Lebanon in Wadi Houla in the "Security Zone," a few meters away from the borderline between Lebanon and Israel. Rockets and heavy machine-guns were used in the attack in which a number of militia men were killed or wounded.

News reports announced that there were injured Israelis, and that an Israeli helicopter landed to take them away.

The resistance also attacked Israeli occupation positions in al Tiri and Hadath areas, and the Lahd militia position in Sujud with rockets and mortar shots.
