Israeli helicopters fail in approaching Lebanese shore-lines

Lebanese television reproted this morning that Israeli helicopters tried approaching the shore-lines twice in South Lebanon at 6:00 a.m., and that they skimmed over Sidon and Gyieh, but they were soon chased away by the Lebanese army. It was also reported that the Lebanese army has spread its forces across the whole shore, to prevent any new Israeli attack.
Israeli warplanes on September 9 flew over the Nabatyieh and al Toffah sectors on low altitude,carrying out mock air raids and releasing thermal balloons.
News dispatches from south Lebanon said Israeli navy held up a ship en route from Hamburg for an hour off the Lebanese port city of Tyre.
Meanwhile, the April understanding monitoring committee held a meeting discuss complaints from both Israel and Lebanon.
The Lebanese complaint centered on the killing of a Lebanese woman and wounding of four others, all civilians, during the aborted Israeli landing a few days ago.
Meanwhile Israel complained that Lebanese resistance shelled a densely populated area in al Dabsha, killing an Israeli officer.
