Some European beef banned from Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has extended a ban on the import of beef from England and some other European countries.
The Arab Gazette said yesterday that the trade ministry informed all chambers of commerce and industry of the decision and warned traders against violating the ban.
Saudi citizens used to eat meat as their major meal. The authority banned Irish and British beef in 1996 after scares that mad cow disease affected humans.
