Iraq, Economics, 9/9/1997

Mohamed Saed El Sahaf, the Iraqi foreign minister, appealed to the UN yesterday to set a six-month time limit for the arrival of humanitarian goods sent to Iraq under oil-for-food deal.

Al Sahaf said in a letter to U.N secretary-general that Iraq would not accept what there was no time limit for the arrival of food and medicine.
