Iraq wants time limit on oil-for-food deal

Mohamed Saed El Sahaf, the Iraqi foreign minister, appealed to the UN yesterday to set a six-month time limit for the arrival of humanitarian goods sent to Iraq under oil-for-food deal.
Al Sahaf said in a letter to U.N secretary-general that Iraq would not accept what there was no time limit for the arrival of food and medicine.
Iraq is allowed to export oil worth 2 billion US dollars over six months in exchange for essential supplies for the same period,
Sahaf said in his letter, Al Ahram reported today.
