Israel uses water to pressure the Palestinians

Israel is waging water warfare against the Palestinians that aims to deprive them from using water by digging wells in the settlements. A report issued by the Palestinian Authority said that the residents of the Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip consume 175 cubic meters of water annually for drinking and many times as much in agriculture, while the Palestinian individual uses 25 cubic meters annually.
The residents of the settlements dug 270 Artesian wells 700-1,200 m deep which produce 140 million cubic meters of water annually. This matter prevents water from reaching the Palestinian regions, as Israel allowed the Palestinians to use only 314 wells between 70 to 200 meters deep out of 720 wells.
