World literacy day marked

On the occasion of the World Day for Illiteracy Eradication a huge mass rally was held at Al Assad Library in Damascus on September 7.
The event was organized by the General Federation of Women and representatives of the Culture Ministry UNICEF, UNDP, university, professors and women's societies.
Speeches delivered at the occasion hailed General Federation of Women president's pursuit to help eradicate illiteracy among Syrian women in collaboration with other concerned international organizations.
