Can we live together - hope in Israeli Palestinian relations

In Sweden, Palestinian researchers met with their Israeli counterparts to discuss ways they may cooperate in daily life in Jerusalem in the realms of economics, infrastructure and statistics. Palestinian representatives included also members from the Institute for Arab Research under the direction of Faisal Husseini.
The two sides issued a joint working paper which they plan to present to decision makers in the PNA and Israel. From the Israeli side, participants included Director of the Jerusalem Institute for Research of Israel, Prof. Rami Friedman, and Reuven Merchav, former director of the Foreign Ministry. Israeli political sources said these contacts were not sponsored by the government and that Jerusalem is never a subject of negotiations for Israel.
