Hizbullah predicts imminent retreat of Israel from Lebanese territories

Lebanese Broadcast Channel International (LBCI) reported yesterday that correspondent Bassam AbiZeid interviewed the Secretary General of Hizbullah, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah.

Nasrallah declared that the last Israeli defeat was just one among many others, and that this superiority of the resistance in the fights with Israelis is the reason for the imminent retreat of Israel from Lebanese territories.

He added that Lebanon was for Israel what Vietnam was for the United States, and he insisted on the necessity of a global and final Israeli retreat from Lebanese lands, mentioning the retreat of Americans from Vietnam.

When asked about the exchange of Israeli bodies for members of Hezbollah who are in prison in Israel, Nasrallah did not give specific answers. He said asking on what criteria the prisoners will be chosen was delving into details that he did not intend to discuss. Moreover, he refused to determine what parties were making the necessary contacts to operate exchanges, but he said that contacts were working and that the exchange would be concluded within a month.

Nasrallah was also asked about the Israeli remains that were kept by Amal, the other resistance party lead by House Speaker Nabih Berri, and the Lebanese army. His answer was that there was no problem and that there will be a cooperation between the three in order to gather all that could be exchanged.

Finally, concerning his relation with he United States and the possible contacts with them, Nasrallah just said: "We do not communicate with Americans."
