Egyptian delegation visits Gaza to choose diplomatic mission premises

An Egyptian delegation will visit Gaza to choose permanant premises for diplomatic mission in order to cope with the increasing activities of the mission as a result of the growth of commercial, cultural, economic and technical cooperation between Egypt and Palestine.
The head of the mission, ambassador Mohammed Karim, submitted to Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa his concepts of the place and the future activities of the mission. The delegation will visit many places in order to choose one. Preparing the premises will take about 12 months.
This step was taken after many other missions established permanent premises. Six Arab countries; Morocco, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, Tunisia and Egypt and 8 foreign countries Chile, Norway, Japan, Germany, India, South Africa, Russia, and Denmark have their missions in Gaza. Egypt was the first country to have a representative body in the self rule Palestinian areas in January 1995.
