After fights, exchanges of bodies
Lebanon, Military, 9/6/1997
The secretary general of Hizbullah, the Islamic Resistance, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah, gave a press conference where he told the reporters that Lebanese territories are lands of defeat for Israel, and that they will always be; "Lebanon is not a place for Israeli victory," he said.
Nasrallah added that yesterday's events were a moral defeat for Israel, and Hizbullah's television Channel "Al-Manar" broadcast photographs of Israeli bodies in bits and pieces.
It also showed some objects and diving equipment that the few Israelis who could escape left left behind them in Al-Nsaiyreh. Hizbullah's leader said that his party was ready to negotiate an exchange with Israel for what remains from the Israelis.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's response was positive, saying Israel was interested by Hezbollah's proposal, though he added that he could never be sure whether Hizbullah will keep its word or not.
