UAE hosts second Moroccan products exhibition
United Arab Emirates-Kuwait, Business, 9/5/1997

The UAE city of Abu Dhabi will host the second Moroccan products exhibition between October 20-28 under the auspices of Sultan Al Nahyan. The organizers declared that this will be the biggest Moroccan exhibition in UAE. It aims to introduce Moroccan products in the sectors of industry, agriculture, tourism, transportation, hand-made crafts and services.

Morocco and the UAE established a joint company whose responsibility is to study means of developing the commercial structure and to boost the joint investment. The Moroccan companies seek to make Abu Dhabi the export point for Moroccan products to the Middle East, the Gulf area and other countries.

The UAE comes in second place after Saudi Arabia as the best market for Moroccan products, and it is the second biggest Arab investor in Morocco--especially in the tourism sector and in dealing in stock portfolios. The Emirates-Moroccan Joint Company of Sumeid, established in 1983, is one of the biggest and most successful joint companies in Morocco.
