Al Sadiq Al Mahdi met Carter

Al Sadiq El Mahdi, the last elected prime minister of Sudan and leader of Ummah party, met American Ex-president Jimmy Carter in Addis Ababa on August 27.
The two discussed the regional developments in the horn of Africa and the conflict in southern Sudan. They also discussed the situation in the Sudan in light of the efforts made for solving the southern problem, Al Khartoum daily said today.
