Arab concern over Turkish maneuvers

The Arab League (AL) yesterday expressed its concern over naval exercises between Turkey and Israel to be held in November in which the US is scheduled to take part.
The Cairo-based AL said in a statement that general secretary Esmat Abel Maguid told Turkish ambassador Yasar Yakis about the Arab concerns regarding these maneuvers and is waiting now for a response, Al Akhbar daily said today.
On the Turkish military intervention in northern Iraq, Abdul Majid stressed the AL condemnation of any practices targeting Iraq sovereignty and land.
He also asked Turkey to deal with the water issue between Turkey, Iraq and Syria in accordance with the international agreements.
