British Areospace signs Sea Skua contract
Kuwait, Military, 9/3/1997
After almost 18 months of wrangling the UK's British Aerospace (BAe) has finally signed a contract with the Kuwaiti navy to supply Sea Skua missiles.
Sources close to the project say the contract involves the supply of 100 missiles at a total cost of about 180 million US dollars.
The Sea Skua missiles will be fitted on fast patrol boats on order from France's constructions Mecqaniques de Normandie.
BAe has been in fierce competition for the contract with France's Aerospatiale, which offered MM 15 missiles.
