Under-17 soccer championship to open Thursday

Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Kamal el Ganzouri completed arrangements for the FIFA under-17 world championship which will be held in Egypt beginning September 4.
During the last two days, intensive meetings were held by senior media officials on the form of the opening ceremony, which will start with a procession of flag bearers and introductions for every participating country, then the pharoanic flag of the championship will be carried by a procession around the playground to greet the spectators.
The Egyptian minister of information said, "Folk troupes will perform art shows," Al Hakika said today.
