Sudan seeks normalized ties with Egypt
Sudan, Politics, 9/2/1997
Sudanese President Omar-Al-Bashir said efforts were proceeding to return his country's ties with Egypt to normal.
The ties between Egypt and Sudan have been strained by Sudanese sheltering and subsidizing of terrorists who attempted to assassinate Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Addis Ababa in June 1995.
The Sudanese capital reported yesterday that President Bashir said Sudan was interested in building normal relations with all neighboring countries including Uganda, which he claimed was involved in supporting rebels in southern Sudan, Al Ahram daily said today.
