Netanyahu won't freeze settlements

A well-informed source in the Israeli prime minister's office said the Israeli government will not respond to America's call for freezing building operations in the Israeli settlements.
The director of the settlement council in the West Bank said that building may halt temporarily with in advance of US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's forthcoming visit to the region.
The freezing on the building of settlements will not be permanant, the director said.
