Syria willing to restore Golan Heights by force, if needed

Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Muhammad al-Imadi threatened that Syria would restore the Golan Heights by force if peaceful settlements with Israel were unsuccessful.
The minister said , "Syria sticks to the Middle East peace process, but this does by no means imply that Syria cannot use other means to restore the occupied Golan Heights," Al-Ahram Al-Masaei said today.
Israel's ex-Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin proposed a plan for Israeli withdrawal from the Golan before his assassination, but current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly announced that Israel would not withdraw from the Golan.
