Rabin was willing to return Golan

Yitzhak Rabin was reportedly willing to negotiate the full return of the Golan Heights to Syria, a much more flexible position than he expressed in public statements. Based on a reported 1994 talk with then-US Secretary of State Warren Christopher, Rabin would have been willing to give back the Golan, if Syrian President Assad agreed to certain Israeli demands.
