Sudanese Army admits casualties

Sources from Khartoum's government army have acknowledged the deaths of 26 officers in Terkaka in the northern part of Juba, following an ambush carried out by the forces of the Sudan Peoples' Liberation Army (SPLA).
The sources said that the dead included a lieutenant-colonel, a colonel and a major.
It added that if the SPLA captured Terkaka, the land, water and air siege of Juba would be complete, Al-Khartoum daily said today.
