Girl kills herself over parents' disapproval toward her love

A young girl died yesterday at the hospital after poisoning herself with pesticide, because of her parents' maltreatment toward her, a security official said.
The head of criminal investigations said that the 20-year-old girl, known only as H.M. (her name was not disclosed), died shortly after arrival to the hospital because of drinking a bottle of a rodent killer in a suicide bid to protest against her parents ill-treatment after they discovered that she was in love with a young man in her village.
The Menofiya province prosecutor's office has issued a burial permit to H.M's family when they assured that there is no criminal cause behind her death, the officials said today.
