Tombs to open in November

A great number of tombs that have never been open to visitors before are now undergoing restoration so they can be opened to the public in November. The tombs, on the West Bank at Luxor, belong to royal and senior men of state in ancient Egypt.
Their inauguration is a part of an all-embracing festival marking the diamond jubilee of the discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamen, the most famous Pharaoh, El-Ahrar daily said today.
The paper added that the tombs which the minister opened included that of Siti II, who reigned from 1209 to 1205 BC.
