Saudi Arabia's municipal projects to be studied

The Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry has proposed that it will form along with the Ministry of Municipal and a Rural Affairs a joint committee to explore prospects of new municipal projects in various parts of the kingdom. It said the committee could also review the possibility of the government participating in some existing projects.
The council underlined the future role of kingdom's municipalities and affirmed that the municipalities should be the general supervisors and engage in continual follow ups of the private sector's companies, which are delegated to administer and maintain public utilities.
