Yemeni-Saudi border agreement soon
Yemen-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 8/25/1997
Yemeni Minister of Planning Abdel Qader Yagmal announced that Yemen and Saudi Arabia were about to reach an agreement to end their lengthy border dispute. Yagmal refused to fix a certain date for that. He mentioned the Yemeni borders with the Omani Sultanate represented a model to be followed, Al-Ahram Al-Masaei daily said today.
In other remarks, Yagmal stated that Yemen had no direct interest in participating in the Middle East and North Africa economic conference, due to be held in Doha, Qatar, next November; and that Yemen might boycott it, along with many other Arab nations.
