Yemen wants to protect tourists

Yemeni authorities submitted a paper on protecting tourists after a series of foreigners' kidnappings had threatened the country's tourist industry, an official source said today.
Officials from the ministries of tourism, interior and culture agreed, in recent meetings, to enforce stiff punishment against kidnappers and increase the security measures in the tourists areas, he added.
