Lebanon-Egypt cooperation agreements

Lebanon and Egypt have signed 13 cooperation agreements and protocols in the fields of economy, tourism, culture and judiciary. A free zone will also be established.
This step comes after the last joint higher committee meetings.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak called for the establishment of an Arab common market as the only means to attain the desired goals of development and as a necessity.
The launching of a pan-Arab common market will provide a massive boost to industry and encourage greater investments in the sector, according to the Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade Yassin Jaber.
