Pregnancy actually hidden drugs
Egypt, Local, 8/22/1997
Egyptian airport customs officers last Wednesday arrested a Syrian woman who tried to smuggle 2,000 vials of anti-sterility drugs into Egypt. The drugs were strapped to her waist, and she pretended she was pregnant.
Airport officials said, "Aisha Mahmoud Nimr, a 26-year-old housewife, was stopped upon her arrival from Damascus on a Syrian flight. Customs officials believed her claim that she was nine-months-pregnant, when a luggage search did not turn up any illegal goods. The woman was frisked and officials found out she had strapped to her waist 2,000 vials containing anti-sterility hormones."
Nimr planned to sell the drugs--with a street market value of $30,000--in Egypt, Al-Gomhoria newspaper said today.
