Divorce destabilizes Egyptian society

Sociologists are alarmed by increasing divorce rates in Egypt; they describe the trend as a time bomb endangering the society.
Many divorced couples fail to bring up psychologically stable children, and this reflects its shadow on offspring children.
The tragic life of those children was shown in Egypt this week when Cairo police narrowly prevented a young university student from committing suicide by throwing himself into the Nile from a bridge. After being saved, the student told the police that his parents divorced, and he found nowhere to go. He decided to take his own life and end his ordeal.
