Kuwait exports 30 million barrels of oil to South Africa

An official source in the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said that Kuwaiti oil exports to South Africa have increased from nine million barrels a year in 1995 to 30 million barrels in 1996 and 1997.
Commenting on a report by the Reuters news agency, the source said that "the figures given in the Reuters" report were not accurate and Kuwaiti crude oil exports to South Africa represent 22 percent of the total imported crudes by South Africa.
