Palestine-Egypt, Politics, 8/19/1997
Egyptian foreign minister Amer Moussa said abiding by implementation of international legitimacy resolutions and "land for peace" principle is the pivot of reviving the Middle East peace process and of rescuing it from its current deterioration.
In statements made following a meeting with the Palestinian Authority's planning offcial Nabeel Shaath, Moussa made it clear that "basic Middle East peace constituents cannot be given up, because they are the intrinsic step of establishing a just and comprehensive peace."
Moussa also warned the Israeli government against the continuation of its policy of oppression and starvation against the Palestinian people.
