Hundreds hold silent sit-in for early release of POWs

Hundreds of Kuwaiti men, women, and children9including the families of those who died fighting for Kuwait and POWs9held a silent sit-in at the playgrounds at the Islah Social Society's headquarters on August 13 to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion.
American Ambasador Ryan Crocker, chairman of the solidarity fund for the families of those who died fighting for Kuwait and POWs Issam Al Fulaji, and a number of other dignitaries attended the sit-in.
A collective prayer was held for the early release of the Kuwaiti POWs held in Iraqi jails.
Fulaji said that his organization will participate in various activities in and outside Kuwait on the occasion of Liberation Day to highlight the plight of Kuwaiti POWs.
