Kuwaiti man claims to have found mystery animal's remains on beach

A Kuwaiti man claims to have stumbled upon the remains of a strange animal, which has mystified everyone trying to identify it, at Fintas beach in Kuwait.

Mohammed Al Abeid told Al Qabas daily that he took his family to enjoy an evening by the sea at Eintas on August 13 evening.

"At around 11:00 p.m., my son told me he had come upon something strange not far away. Taking a flashlight with me, I accompanied him. When I saw the object, it struck me at first sight as being the body of a drowned person. But with a closer look, dawned the realization that it was no known animal's body. But if not, then what was it? The answer to this question keeps eluding me," he said

Describing the physiognomy of the creature, he said, "despite being well-versed with the shapes and sizes of terrestrial and aquatic beasts, I must admit that the bony skeleton of my find confounded me.

"The skeleton was about 1.5 meters long. The structure of the bony head and its bulging eyes set me wondering about the identity of this weird animal. I racked my mind, but failed to identify it."

He managed to pack it in a plastic sack and thereafter decided to show it to some scientific institutions in a bid to enlighten himself about its nature.

Scientific officials declared that it is the first time they have faced such a creature and nobody can know what it is.
