Improved trade-transactions between GCC and Japan

Gulf-Japanese trade transactions improved noticeably in 1996, reaching $37.5 billion, an 11.8% increase over 1995 levels.
Japanese imports from the Gulf markets are worth $30.2 billion, whereas exports reached $7.2. billion. As for Gulf countries exporting to Japan, Emirates ranks first, then Saudi Arabia.
