South rebels massacre Sudanese forces

John Garang, Sudan Peoples Liberation Army (SPLA) leader, set a trap for Sudan's government forces in Terkaka that enabled his troops to kill 26 officers and wound a large number of soldiers, a source said.
The source added that the target of Garang's forces' attack was the capture of Terkaka, north of Juba in Bahrelghazal province. Garangšs force successfully seized the airport runways as a step toward seizing the city.
