Woman in Oman's Shura council

For the first time all seats on Oman's Shura Council will be open to women. Elections for the Shura council will be held on October 16.
A government statement published by the official Oman news agency said Omanis wishing to participate in elections should register on August 19-27. There are 80 seats on the Shura council.
