Tunisian trade exchange with Egypt
Egypt-Tunisia, Business, 8/11/1997
A Tunisian economic delegation, comprised of businessmen and senior officials, will visit Egypt in September to hold talks to prepare for the signing of a free trade exchange agreement between the two countries, according to which customs duties will be eliminated within seven years.
Tunisian businessmen were eager to invest in Egypt, citing the success of Tunisian businessmen in wining a large tender in the areas of oil firms.
There will be joint projects between the two sides, of which the Egyptian side took advantage of the Tunisian experience in the production of phosphate fertilize for exports.
