Arabs should pay financial commitments

Participants in the 9th General Assembly meeting of the Arab Authority for Atomic Energy on August 6 at Tunis called on member states to pay their financial commitments to the authority.
The final statement said the participants also ratified the 1996-97 final account of the authority and endorsed financial amendments.
They emphasized the importance of encouraging other Arab countries to join the authority, which includes 11 Arab countries: Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya and Kuwait.
