Sixty million US dollars from Italy to Lebanon

Italy will provide Lebanon with three soft loans totaling 60 million US dollars under an agreement signed on August 5 by the Italian ambassador to Lebanon and Nabil Jisr, president of the council for development and reconstruction.
The loans, payable over 35 years, carry a 0.5 percent interest rate. The money will be spend for water treatment and electricity networks.
Under the agreement 7 million US dollars are to be spend on health care and development in Baalbek and al Hermel.
