Lebanese member of parliament sues daily paper

Mr. Elias Skaf, an MP for Zahle in Lebanon, filed a defamation lawsuit against Lebanese daily Al Diyar, per the National News Agency.
Skaf said Al Diyar had launched a scathing attack on him in an article on July 31 defaming has character. He requested 1 million US dollars compensation. The trial in the court of publications begins on August 14.
