Egyptian, Syrian workers support Arab common market

Egyptian and Syrian workers stated their full support for an Arab common market to consolidate Arab countries' capabilities in the face of the current world order and economic, political and social challenges to the Arab nation.
"The Arab common market is the optimal way of affecting an Arab unity and developing joint Arab action in all spheres as well as utilizing all humanitarian, financial, geographical and economic resources for the common good of all Arab peoples," said Al-Sayed Rashid, the head of the Egyptian Trade Unions Federation (ETUF) in a visit to Syria last week.
He noted that his talks with Syrian officials focused on ways of developing co-operation between the two countries regarding issues of labor movement and the exchange of expertise.
Rashid agreed with officials there about the need to update workers' education and training programs.
